Rappers need Vocal Technique

Rap Artist in our facility sometimes make serveral mistakes when in the vocal booth. First, they need to understand to breath better. Rappers tend to lose their air in the booth. When COMIA students work with Rapers we find the only the true experienced ones know this. Breathing between lines and punchind in vocals on Rap Tracks is an art. We normally do a Comp Track, whereby we only use two parallel tracks to make one solid track. We also do normalized compression. COMIA works with Rappers all the time and we have several Rap Artist in our Audio Production Programs.

Most Rappers don't take the time to understand that you can only have true velocity on words if you breath correctly so that the tails of the notes don't die and sound weak.
